My mom is legally blind and recovering from yet another eye surgery. During my recent visit, she mentioned struggling to find a 2025 Daily Planner that was easy for her to read. We searched Amazon together, but there just wasn’t much in a purse size with text large enough for her to use comfortably.
So, we talked about exactly what she needed in a planner:
Extra-large text (20+ pt)
Black-and-white-only pages for high contrast
Days in blocks without lines (easier to see)
No clutter like holidays or daylight savings time info
I learned the basics of Amazon’s KDP Publisher, so I decided to create a planner that would work for her. I designed a 5x8 planner with all her needs in mind, and I just got the first sample in the mail from Amazon. Here’s what it looks like:
I do wish I could choose a paper that wasn’t so see-through—it might be an issue for anyone using markers instead of a ballpoint pen. But overall, I’m hopeful this will work for my mom. I’ve sent her a copy to try out and am waiting for her feedback.
If you’re interested in this large-print planner, it’s priced at $5.99 and available on Amazon here. I’ll be making updates as we get more feedback, so if you purchase one, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Feel free to leave a comment or email me about your experience.
I’ll share an update in a future post once I hear from my mom. Fingers crossed this helps her!
